Possibly 3 guys from my town(pop 1000) were injured in Iraq. One was injured for sure, but they were all stationed together.

Please keep them in you're prayers. We've already lost one solider from here to this war.

That is terrible. People that live in such small towns just cannot believe it could happen but so many are dying, they can. When you live in a big city, it just does not affect you like when you live in a small town and sombody dies it has a much higher impact. All of the soldiers, from big towns and small, are in my prayers.

There was a small town in Virginia called Bedford that had the highest casualty rate per population during WWII. On June 6, 1944 the town lost 19 of the 35 soldiers from their community of 3200. Four more were killed in the subsequent weeks following D-Day to raise the total to 23. They were all from the same National Guard unit and were assigned to the 29th Infantry Division. There are those to this day who feel that the community has never quite recovered from the loss.

I heard a very "loose" rumor. I don't know how much to believe. But, two boys, one got shrapnel in the bum, the other in the legs(IED). Again, I do not know how much to believe...I can't imagine how far that "story" has traveled...
