Earth Day Contradictions!

Does this make sense to you? I work for the Canadian Federal government and they have been encouraging us via e-mail to celebrate Earth Day. Then I started seeing the posters - made from paper. If you are encouraging us to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and plant trees, why would you put up posters? Home many tress would I have to plant to make up for all the posters the feds have made?

Urgh!!! It is so frustrating.

Do you know that the posters are NOT made from recycled materials?

I actually took a close look at them to see if there was any mention of that, and no where did it say recycled. It's not like I haven't rec'd at least 20 e-mails about Earth Day events/activities.

I'd go to the people who are responsible for making and putting up the posters and ask them point blank, if their posters are made out of recycled paper or not. I'd also want to know if they plan to recycle them when they're done with them.

When I asked my supervisor whey they did that she said "if the government began to do things that made sense then it is time to be afraid".
