I just wanted to know if anyone else here has a tatt. I got mine for my birthday from Pete. He was very against me getting one so I was surprized he organised it as a surprise birthday present last year.

It is Woodstock from the snoopy cartoons, the reason I picked Woodstock was because I have always loved snoopy and the gang, I tried to find something that was a little bit differant and also was me! So to match my silly nature I thought it would fit in perfectly hehehe! I have him on the inside of my right ankle.

So if I show you mine will you show me yours?

Leslie, he's really cute!

I have a kind of abstract design on the outside of my left thigh, just above the knee. It is a custom design that combines the NIN (Nine Inch Nails) from the single Sin and the cover design of Rosetta Stone's Adrenaline (a Goth band), so it's my 2 favorite bands but if I ever decide I don't like the bands the design is still really cool.

I'll try to snap a pic today or tonight and post it.

There's actually quite a few people here who have tats, and I would love to see them!!

I have a bunch. I am currently having my whole back done, and I have from ankle to hip on my left leg. Both upper arms, both sides of my chest and most of both calves. A lot of flowers, several cats, a lucky horseshoe, and a man entwined in a spiderweb, just to name a few. I wish I could post pics, but I don't know how. I have a digital camera, but we can't figure out how to post pics with it. My s/o is a tattoo artist and mostly uses the camera for work. I will see if anyone at the shop can post some for me.

I, too, am a member of the tattoo contingent.

Two small images on my torso.

First one is on the upper right arm...a so-so rendering of the skull from Danzig's (hard rock band) first album cover.

Second is a small (about the size of a quarter) tribal looking piece on the back of my neck, just below collar level...a gift from my wife a few years back (she sports two of her own).

I've often contemplated more (many more actually) but funding is usually the issue, especially with the pieces I envision.

@valanhb: I'm familiar with both images and it sounds like an interesting combination. I hope you can get a pic of it.

I would love to get one of a dragon, but 1) haven't found one I really like and 2) hubby really dislikes them (not really a big consideration).

I absolutely would love to get a tattoo!

I was really thinking of getting one for my 30th B-Day this past summer but then we got the house which is sucking more and more money out of us!! I still love the house though! Just give me 3 years and it will be renovated to my specifications!

When I was looking for a tattoo, the ultimate God of Tattoos here in Toronto is a guy named Daemon Rowanchilde. I've included his website below so you guys can take a look. I just love this guy, go to his website and click on Tattoes...then on his name.

Just a warning, for sensitive viewers, there are some naked body parts!

I have one. Got it in 2000. Right after mom passed away, I went and got a tattoo of a rose (her favorite) with a hummingbird (my favorite). I collect anything hummingbird related. This was my way of dealing with the hurt at the time and you know what? It is very comforting. It is just above my right breast. And yep.......ouch! But it still was not as bad as I was expecting.

I have 2, that I just got in the last couple months.

One is a design on my lower back, Sandie posted a pic awhile back. I got it to celebrate losing 75lbs and to symbolize finally feeling comfortable in my own skin.

The second one is musical notes on the back of my neck. I work in the music business and this is my life. I love music and wanted to carry it with my always.

The one on the back of my neck hurt like a mother. The back one wasn't bad at all. Good thing I got it first or I never would have gotten another one.

Well, in the summer I asked for opinions on my design etc, and I did get the tattoo done in July, the tribal style butterfly, on my left ankle or rather a bit above the ankle (the outside of the leg). It turned out well, even though the artist did say I have extremely thin skin there, and he couldn't work over the area as much as was needed, and of course said he'd do the touch-up for free. Haven't gone in to show it to him yet, but I see nothing wrong with it. I'll post a pic here if I can manage it, not a very good pic, but at least it gives you some idea.

I'm planning on my second one, there's this tribal style lizard design I've fallen in love with, but it'd look best on my upper back, and I'd really like to get something on my upper arm next... A friend is going to draw me a design for my arm (once she has the time), something tribal, that seems to "be me". Even though that first small tattoo hurt, pretty badly at times, it was nothing compared to some very extreme dentist's experiences, so I'm not scared of going back.

Count me in with the fraidy cats. I don't like pain, and I am afraid it would hurt too much. Plus there's no design or emblem I can think of right now that I would want on me forever. I did like the snake tattoo that Scully got in an episode of the X-Files a few years ago.
