Okay, so our basset pup is now 2 weeks old...we named her Rita. She's changed so much since we visited her last week...she's now 3 lbs and 2 oz., and when she was born, she was only 9 oz.!!! Her eyes are now open, and she's scooting all over the place.

Here she is!!!

Isn't she beautiful? We're certainly proud!

Yeah, she's the chub in the bunch...the biggest pup so far. She was the first-born, out of the 9, I believe. Of course, it's cute when they're pups, but chubby bassets are also bassets in a lot of trouble (for spinal and leg probs), so of course, we'll have to always monitor her weight.

This may be the most agonizing 6 weeks of our lives!!!

OMG OMG OMG She is soooo cute

I don't know if a Basset would ever be right for my family but seeing that puppy sure could put a convinicing tug on the ole heart strings.

Congrats on your puppy and I am sure the wait will be well worth it!

Thanks, everyone. We think she's pretty special too!

I'm not sure if I'll have 3-week old pictures, as the breeder mentioned that she'll update the pics every 2 weeks from here on out at this point, which would mean her next pics will come at 4 weeks, possibly. If I do happen to get the 3 week pics, I'll surely share them!

AWWWWWW cute little pocket puppy

I'm surprised at the ears being long. I got to see bloodhound pups at a young age and they didn't have the long ears yet!
