how to..

build my own SAFE cat tree?? i dont mind buying one but i thought it would be a good project to build my own one. but i wouldnt know where to start.
for instance i know how to put wood and such together to build it , but i wouldnt know about foundations to make it safe enough from toppling over and being fun ect.. ,
any ideas?? all welcome.

I honestly don't have any suggestions. I was hoping someone else would comment because Colin and I are planning to build one soon as well! If we build ours before you do, i'll email you the blue print if there is one I think we were thinking of using carpet and sisil and modeling it after some we looked at online / LuckyGirl (heather) and her hubby built their own- perhaps you could pm her?

thank for the reply , iv been trying to sort out a rought diargrame but it is missing something and i cant think what.
im gonna use a fabric for the shelves bedding etc. and that robe stuff for the posts.
