Whatever will we talk about?

I'm meeting a colleague of mine in about an hour for lunch and am really looking forward to it because we haven't seen each other in while, so this will be a great chance to get caught up. We both work in communications, her for a men's religious order, me for our Sisters, and both have a background in journalism, so have a lot in common professionally. She's also very involved in cat rescue and TNR and has quite a few kitties of her own.

Anyone care to venture a guess what we'll be talking about at lunch?

Oh! Have so much fun! I love going out to lunch, it is my favorite thing to do with friends.

And my guess is... CATS! What else does anybody talk about?

and how about memmories and some good anecdote? the most lovely like firts dance or firts goal reached?

Why do I have a feeling that this is going to strech to be an extra long lunch?

Obviously you'll be talking about your obsession with George.

Well, this will come as no surprise - we talked about kitties! Her cats, my cats, recent rescues we've both been involved with, the new spay/neuter clinic that just opened, the politics that keep some local rescue groups from doing all they can to help the cats, etc...

We tried talking about other things, work, family, summer plans, but the conversation kept going back to cats.

I should have brought up my obsession with George, like Jan mentioned. That would have changed the subject!
