Cab Sanjaya's head get any bigger?

I had never seen any of the American Idol shows, but I was curious to see what all this talk about this kid was all about.

I watched some video's of him on UTube, and I think he's not half bad. Why does everyone think he has no talent? I enjoyed the songs I heard on UTube.

I think he has 'Something', not sure if it's so much great talent, or just charisma. He's cute, and very likable.

As far as him having a big head, you have to remember he's only 17, and he's been riding on this big wave of superstardom. He's so famous that everyone has heard of him, even people like me, who have never seen American Idol.

It's not that he has NO talent, it's just that compared to the other people in the competition he doesn't deserve to be there. He can probably sing better then a huge percentage of the population, me included. But he was the worst of those competing, and yet he managed to hang on. I give him credit, for his age, he did okay. I saw interveiws with people who knew him and they say he's a great kid. American Idol...he's not.

neet....his head is big cause it has to support all that hair!

I had never watched AI until the Sanjaya fever and started watching and I really really like him. I was so sad when he got voted off and now I won't watch it anymore.

I thought all 17 year olds had big heads!
Ehhh...he had his taste of popularity. I wish that he would realise that the majority of the people voting for him were for reasons OTHER than his talent.

I have only watched the first season of American Idol and do think of it as one big hoax. The biggest thing that gets to me is the drama that it portrays. When I was in music and did competitions, you KNEW not to talk back to the judge. That's what annoys me most about that show. The real singers (i.e. the ones that win) take good and bad compliments equally.

Wait a minute!?!?! Sanjaya's a guy?!?! Boy....I must really never pay attention to AI or "celeb news". I though Sanjaya was a girl!
He's a little too pretty for me, too!
That article didn't sound like he had a big head at all - more like he was overwhelmed with all the attention he's getting.

Or, unless you meant that all the attention is going to ensure he has a big head? Possibly - he's only 17, I wouldn't be surprised if it went to his head a bit. I mean, from nothing to being so famous everyone knows who you are, is a pretty big deal for `just Sanjaya from Seattle'. Hopefully he'll not get all `male diva-ish' though. It would be good for him if he had grounding influences around him such as family and friends who'll still treat him like they always did, even if nobody else does.

I think he is a sweet, cute kid with a million dollar smile. I hope he goes far.
I can see him as a model, he has the looks for sure.

Singer he isn't/ Yeah he can out sing me but that isn't saying much. It annoyed me that better singers got voted of faster than him. Yeah he has charisma. But there is something about him I just don't like.

His tenure on AI was too long.

I'm glad he's gone. He may be a nice kid, but he's no American Idol. I think it's sad that he really believes people voted for him because of his singing, when most did it because votefortheworst and Howard Stern.

Reality will kick him in the butt eventually!
He has talent, just not enough to actually make it doing anything.
I think all the little teenage girls voted for him for sure.
I think he will go places. The kid is not without talent no matter what people say.

Well if William Hung can get a record deal, Sanjaya definately will get one.

Lately I've been watching American Idol Rewind. They're playing the season that Kelly Clarkson was on, which I think is the first Season. Now, like I said before, I had never seen the show before, and even though I KNOW Kelly Clarkson won, it's still fun to hear the other contestants. First of all, this one girl, (don't know her name) made it to third place, and then got voted off. Man, I like Rock singers, but this woman sucked BIG TIME. Just awful. Off key, gross to look at, no charisma. You name it, she sure didn't deserve to be in the top 3, but she was. Even that Justin is just OK, nothing special, as I can see. Anyway, from what I heard of Sanjaya's singing he was better than either of those two. I don't understand why so many people think he was awful. There aren't many singers equal to Kelly Clarkson, and no Sanjaya isn't equal to her, but I have to say that most of the singers who have made it after American Idol, aren't anything to write home about. I know Clay Aiken is popular, but WHY. He's gross to look at, and I do mean GROSS, and his voice is prettty good, but not outstanding. He's just plain yucky.

I so did not like Justin. That hair. It was worse than some of Suckjaya's stuff.

Considering some of the hateful comments about Sanjaya- more on utube than on here- I wish him all the success in the world.
tbh I agree with ckblv- Sanjaya just seems like a cute kid

I agree. He sounded good about half of the time and hated to see better singers leave before him. He seems like a good kid, just not a singer! Maybe something else is out there for him.

I agree. I've watched a couple of his clips and his voice isn't great, but it could be with some training. He's only 17, and he already has a presence as a performer that can't be learnt no matter how many lessons you get. That's what makes a star - his singing voice can and will be improved. It's got a lovely timbre and he sings bluesey/motown songs very well. He has all the ingredients to be very successful, and I hope he is, because it's not often you see that kind of natural charisma and confidence and presence in someone his age.

Yeah I went to youtube to see what all the fuss was about. I am not really into this type of music, but after reading the horrible comments he got, I wish him all the luck in the world.

WHAT?! How does that work? If they are gonna put Suckjaya on there, they might as well put Taylor Hicks up there too. Unless he already is- but I'm not gonna read thru that big list!

Sanjaya isn't that great, I really dislike him, and he just isn't as good as he really thinks he is.

Just my opinion.

to all of the above posts.

I really really like Sanjaya and he's got something that NONE of the other American Idols have. The show is boring without him!

That list is crap. Paris Hilton is on it with Osama Bin Laden. But he was 14th just now when I checked it.

Paris Hilton???

I'm sure she is very influential on a vast proportion of the prepubescent female population. Which is a very scary thing.....
