My little kitty Alan was finally given the all clear too be neutered after his cat flu a while ago. He has his appointment and will be at vets at 8.30am tomorrow morning, bless him. He has no idea whats going to happen, I hope he is okay! I have never had to care for a cat after neutering so I am a little nervous and hope it all goes okay and that I do the right thing for him when he comes home. I am really nervous, I don't want him to have any problems. He would love some vibes from his brothers and sisters who have been through it so that he knows that he will be fine. I definately wouldn't consider not having him done, just a little nervous for him! Thanks, Gem.

Like you, I never had to personally help an animal with recovering from a neuter until we had Chevy done in January. He actually pulled through better than I expected him too. He slept on our bed for 2 hours. I closed the door so nothing would disturb him. He was wiped out, but then suddenly he woke up and started playing and being his old self again! Everything was fine, and it's not as tough on the males I hear.....He will be fine. Good luck Alan!

Many vibes for Al tomorrow....When Joey came home from being neutered it was like he never had anything done at all. He wanted to go outside
It's the females that have a more difficult time. He will do great

Sending lots of vibes for your little guy.
Although my own sweet boy was already neutered when I adopted him at 6 months, I've been through neuters with several foster kitties in recent months and they all bounced back very quickly. Don't worry, your sweet boy will be just fine.

for a good neutering experience for the little guy. He might be mad at you when he sees what's missing, but he'll get over it.

It's easy for boys! Don't worry! Just make sure they use the "good anesthetic" that will allow him to wake up sooner and with less coordination trouble. My vet let me stay with Clyde when he was neutered, so I was able to hold him while he woke up, and that was lovely.

Thanks so much for the reassurance, you were all lovely!!
Just to let you know that Alan is home, safe and well and is happy as larry! Everyone at the vets loved him and they all had a cuddle with him, he was definately in goods hands. When we left him I was quite upset then looked over to my bf and he was nearly in tears bless him. We had to go quickly so that he didn't get embarassed, aahhhh. Thanks a lot for thinking of him it was much appreciated.
