You know, this could be an overshare, but I'm reminded of a conversation my brother and Dad had many, many years ago. I still remember it and laugh.

Brother: `Of course you look at the TP afterwards, everyone does'.
Dad: `That is the most digusting thing I have ever heard and no I do NOT and never have'.
Brother: `Well then, how do you know when to stop wiping?'



I guess if you limited yourself to only one square you'd have to look to make sure there wasn't chaos back there!!

When I was in Thailand in the jungle we had to buy pieces of TP off a lady patrolling the loos one square at a time. She was very stingy with the squares too! I won't even begin to describe what those particular toilets were like. I'm trying to block it out.

i take it you did not go to the far out of the way places. with just a hole in the floor, and newpaper to use.

which was much softer then the local tp

this is hilarious!

sheryl is insane. we let it mellow too but basically only at night. i yelled at hubby though, one time i swear there was only pee and no water in the toilet and it stunk!!!!!!

I frequently come and find pee in the toilet, as Opie potty-trained himself and doesn't know how to flush. Rowdy, on the other hand, flushes the toilet, simply for entertainment

Maybe you can teach Rowdy to flush after Opie uses the toilet. Wouldn't that make a great video?

Has anyone seen a japanese toilet? They have a "small flush" and a "big flush" (you can guess what each is for). Some of the more expensive ones have a bidet (sp?), with a blow dryer.

In terms of paper, I think drying your hands eats more paper than toilet paper. In Japan, most places don't provide you with paper to dry your hands off after washing them, they expect you to carry a handkerchief for that purpose. Those blow dryers that places in the US are adopting are a poor choice environmentally. Blow dryers use immense amounts of wattage, and they just burn electricity rather than burning paper.
