So Puff has gone threw a few months of nail caps. And when I apply them sometimes he reacts like it hurts when I put them on. Is he just being a butt head or can this glue eat into his nail or something to make it hurt? Maybe the glue is sticking to his fur around his nail and he associates them with pain? I'm not sure. But it seems like he should be getting use to them by now.

I've tried using caps as well (our cat bites them off within two weeks...such a brat). I wouldn't think it should hurt him unless you clipped his nail too short and the glue got in and burned that. Other than that the glue shouldn't hurt unless there is an open wound. I'm guessing that he doesn't like the god aweful smell of that glue! I would say just give him a treat once your done putting the claws on. That's what I had to do with just clipping their claws.
