Masshiro has diarrhea now. I'll be going today to get wet can food for her instead of dry cat food, but is there any reason to concern beyond that? She's about 4-5 months old.

Has the cat been tested for worms? Diarraha can be dangerous for a young kitten - they lose too much of their body weight to be messing around with problems more then 1-2 days.

Since you just took her in as a stray it could be the change in diet. Sometimes too quick a change can cause trouble.
Any new stray needs to go see the Vet and get checked out. Do you have a friend who could help you with your cash flow problem until your tax return comes back?

She is very pretty and lucky to have been taken in by you. I know you will get her the care she needs.

Thanks, didn't know the other story. It could be many things - going from a stray who eats what they can fine, to a better quality food, could cause some problems at first.

But the kitten is too young to be messing around waiting on changes. I'd still contact the vet and ask them what to do.
