Challenge: Making Backgrounds

We have a thread with backgrounds that 'new to graphics' members are free to use, this week's (other) challenge is to make 5 backgrounds each that they can use (again no photo required)

1. cat themed
2. using glows
3. using transparency (make sure you save as a .gif file so it keeps its transparency
4. B&W
5. Rainbow Bridge themed

submit them in here and we can move them to the other thread after

Shall we use a standard size or any size that fits in with TCS rules?

Most people use 550x134 so lets go with that, and under 30kb for the practise

I LOVE THAT! How do you do that? (I might have to 'borrow' this background if I cant recreate the style lol)

OK WOW!!! All I gotta ask is how in the world do you do that cuz I really wanna know....That is amazing stuff you guys do there!!!

I think the majority of us use Photoshop. Icklemiss has a tutorial on the board that will help you learn how to make a background, in fact will help you make a Signature. Some of this stuff that you see here is a bit more advanced for a beginner, but if you have Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, I'd advise taking a look at the Tutorial, and then just keep on playing around with it. I would say that 90 percent of the signatures were made using brushes.

These are all great! Would any of you mind if I use them on my personal comupter as backgrounds? They are so neat and unique!
