I'm amazed how many people hate laundry! For me, it's the easiest of all chores... probably because I, too, eschew the iron in favor of another round in the dryer if things get wrinkly -- and I'm also opposed to the matching of socks and the folding of sheets. Sheets go directly from the dryer to the bed, and socks get dumped into the drawer en masse. If I can't find two alike in the morning, it simply reinforces my conviction that all socks should be identically white or identically black, by golly!

(Actually, I love silly novelty socks. I have some with flamingos, some with fluffy clouds, some with strawberries, some with ferns, some with puppies, and of course... several with kittens. But they're easy to match up, even by the dawn's early light.)

Nope, it's the bathrooms I hate -- both ours and the kitties'. Thank heaven for the Litter-Robot, or I'd never survive six cats!

I don't mind doing laundry. I even don't mind putting it in the dryer. I just hate folding it afterwards! SO it usually sits in a pile for a week...

I absolutely hate washing dishes! I always have to wash dishes at work so it's not something I look forward to at home.

Doing the dishes and vaccuming. Our other vaccum broke so we just have one where it has a hose and you have to push the little hose everywhere....a little tiring doing the whole house that way.
I feel like cinderella.

Laundry is second, but that's only because I have to lug it 3 stories down the fire escape and pay $2 to wash it, $2 to dry it, and then haul it back up the fire escape. Actually doing it, folding it and putting it away is not as big a deal.
Are you sure you're not me?!

I do my dishes exactly once a week because I'm a terribly lazy person when it comes to them. Though, to be honest, as it's only me dirtying the plates and I don't exactly cook, it's not as though there are all that many at the end of the week. But still.... my goal for this month is to get into the habit of doing them twice a week!!

Laundry I never used to mind when I lived with the parents and had a washer and dryer right there... now that I have to drag all my clothes down to the basement and make sure that I get them out right away to not tie up the machines... not so fun. Plus I always want to wash ALL my clothes at once, so it's hard for me to find something decent to wear while I'm doing the laundry.

Other than that, I really don't mind cleaning. I find it satisfying to clean, and I LOVE to sweep and mop floors.

Oh right, I forgot. I hate anything to do with cleaning toilets or around the toilet too.
I would love to have a maid.

The vacuuming because my back gives out after a while. The dishes because a certain member of the househole leaves plates and containers looking disgusting and doesnt even use the correct items to eat/drink out of half the time. I dont mind the laundry, except if its hot weather, then my brain gets roasted when i hang out a whole load of washing.

As I work as a cleaner once a week, I must kind of like it all. But cleaning for someone else is diffrent from your own cleaning.
For my home it has to be defrosting the freezer and cleaning the oven. I can always think of something better to do!

I'm weird (if you've read my posts on this forum, I'm sure you already know that!). I don't mind doing the laundry, or loading the dishwasher, but I balk at putting laundry and dishes away. I'll happily clean 3 toilets at least once a week (the easiest job around here!), but hate changing bed sheets. I don't mind washing litter boxes (9), but hate putting clean dishes away. Go figure. I also hate dealing with cat hair. I have a compulsion to clean it up ASAP when I see it. I hate seeing those "tumbleweeds" on the floor--yuck!!!!! And the discarded claws you find every once in awhile. Nasty.

I actually like cleaning! Like I said, I'm weird. Funny you should start this thread, as the other day, I saw a website for a cleaning service, and they actually clean your stove's drip pans! I thought, "My God! You can PAY someone to do that for you!" This may make me try them out.

I can certainly understand why you hate laundry day! We used to live in an apartment, and the laundry room was across the parking lot (and a very busy, they-drive-like nuts parking lot). Luckily, we lived on the ground floor; but I had to drag laundry down 3 steps, across the lot, and up 3 steps into the laundry room, which was a creepy, dark, nasty place. I also have a bad back, and am not exactly Mr. Universe; in other words, weak. Then, of course, when you really needed laundry done, the weather would be bad, so you couldn't take the dry stuff back in the rain, etc. This was assuming the $#^ driers were working that month (they always had at least 2 of the 4 on the fritz, for weeks), and that the "Barefoot Contessa" wasn't there (my nickname for a resident who always went barefoot, which grosses me out, and spent entire mornings using every machine, washers AND driers, doing mountains of washing, EVERY SINGLE WEEK--where the heck was it coming from!!!!??)

When we bought the house, I was so happy--for other reasons, but mainly so I could do my laundry in private, and in my own place! We lucked out, and got a small laundry room. In my next house, I plan to have an even larger room. I find spending time in there kind of relaxing (unless the cats are trying to get in the drier, etc.).

Putting clean dishes away! Mind you, I don't mind putting dirty dishes in the dishwasher or starting it, but for some reason, putting clean dishes away just puts me in a bad mood. Maybe because I have to put them in a certain place, and I'm not good at doing that.
