5 mousies
1 spring
3 dust bunnies

But no yellow jingly ball
It's Smudge's favourite thing to chase. DH sits at one end of the hall, I sit under the other, and we throw it back and forth and Smudge will chase it until the cows come home. But we can't find it

And Stumpy's just batted one of the mice under the couch, and I can hear Smudge in the kitchen again with the spring, and from the sound of it, she's batted it back under either the stove or fridge....

Don't you just hate it when they lose their favorite toy in the whole wide world? Trent's favorite toy was his red honeysuckle stocking. And he lost it. I was sure that when we moved we would find it, but we didn't.

Look in the most improbable place possible! I once found one of Persi's long lost toys in his carrier of all places!

We've looked in every nook and cranny and can't find it. We've had a friend staying the last couple of days, and he kept a suitcase downstairs. Smudge LOVES sittin on things, so I wonder if she was playing with the ball on the suitcase and it got caught in that?

She has plenty of other toys to play with that she loves, but the yellow ball is the most interactive. She won't chase any other toys like that because they're not as noisy.

Oh and she knocked her little spring so far under the fridge I can't reach it with the feather wand which is my toy retriever...

Under the cats, mostly.
Aaaaaw, all of ours finish up under the washing machine. Tosca's favourite toys are shiny things.... my rings, necklaces and housekeys!! If they go missing, I know where to look. She takes them and buries them in the litterbox.

Fortunately for me, they both
LOVE
tinfoil and paper balls, so they're really easy to entertain

Sounds like your little babies are really active!

Ewww!!!!

And yes my girls LOVE to play!!!!! We've had some Amazon.com deliveries so have 2 boxes and bubble wrap on the floor and they're all leaping in and out of the boxes, hiding under the bubble wrap and pouncing on whichever kitty runs by first. They LOVE to play.

What active kits you have!! I would suggest maybe under the stove? Or cabinets? I hope the toy is found soon so she can have her most favorite toy back
My cats have lost lots of things and I usually find them under the stove, or fridge. Now that we have wood floors(laminate) they bat everything under the couch/loveseat! I have to use the ole' faithful broom stick handle to get them out!!

Linus's favorite toys in the world are those furry little mice you can buy in packs of 10. We must have about 30 of them by now. They end up under the fridge, the bed, the couch, the coffee table, so no matter where he is looking he can find one to play with.
Every once in awhile just to mess with him I will gather them all up in a box them sit the box in the center of the living room floor..
Oh my god, you should see the performance, he just doesn't no which one to play with, and there a furry little mice flying all over the place.
It worth at least 1/2 hour of solid laughter.

We now have barriers under the stove so toys can't go under there
We're going to have to do the same with the fridge.

Sounds familiar!! It's funny when I realise there's no mousies around, and I go searching, and I'll throw them to the cats as I find them and they get so excited at all the magically appearing mousies! I think we have about 12 in total, as well as 4 springs, and 2 jangly mousies with feathers. When I go on a mission to find them, and get them all, the floor is just strewn with cat toys and 3 happy cats

Sounds like it's time to place that order to Plain Brown Tabby

Ohhhh we have so many kitty toys it's not funny!! I go searching for them every couple of weeks and we're back to having 20 various toys scattered around downstairs!

I am thinking of getting a banana though....

Maggie's favorite toy (besides wadded up paper) is a stretchy rubbery fish shaped thing that I got at World Market. She loves to tuck her toys in between the sofa cushions. I find all sorts of things there...makeup brushes, milk jug rings, Q tips, safety pins, and her rubber fish. She goes absolutely berserk when I lift up the cushions. She doesn't know which toy to go after first!

We used to have this really soft fluffy mouse that squeaked when it was being rolled, and with a spray of catnip that soon became Tabs' fave toy in the whole wide world...

...but then the squeak went.

So we bought her a brand new one! Only it didn't really have the same effect as the grey one
