Tower is missing

My beautiful male cat Tower is missing. He hasn't been seen since Tuesday. He is gray & white with the gray dipping around one eye. Being a former feral, he is very hard to keep in, but even when he gets out he stays mostly around the yard. I am also missing six cats from my colony.
Please send prayers and good vibes. I am heartbroken.

How many cats are in your colony altogether?If so many have gone missing in such
a short space of time then you must assume that they are either being trapped or
somebody is maybe poisoning them.
Can you keep the area under surveilance?like watching for anything suspicious?

No news yet. I have put up Reward posters. I am crying as I write this. It is just so upsetting. I keep calling shelters and they say they haven't seen him. I am going to try to take a ride down to one of them to see if he is there later this afternoon. What if he was dropped off at the kill shelter and I couldn't get there in time? (No car presently) The lady there told me they definitely put all animals to sleep after 3 days. (Some world we live in...).

We now have 7 cats left in the colony. I have watched and watched and I see nothing suspicious. I don't understand. I am such a mess...all I can do is keep coming to this site. Thank you for all of your understanding and well-wishes.

I am hoping that at least if someone sees the poster that they will come forward to let me know something...anything. They should at least have the decency to let me know about Tower if not the cats from the colony.

I understand how terrible it is to have a missing beloved pet. I'll keep praying for Tower to return. But just remember that you made a difference in his life and he knows that you love him. Don't give up on him, I had friend who's cat was missing for over a month before finding his way home! Hang in there!

I really hope he returns and that you find the others in the colony. What a worry for you. Sending lots of vibes for his return

There is still no sign of Tower or the other cats from the colony. I have gone from sad to angry. I had reward posters up and I have put an ad on Petfinder and my local newspaper with no results. I find it inconceivable that none of my neighbors know anything. I can only imagine what could have happened the cats. How do I live around people like this? I know that the colony annoyed everyone, but that's the colony. All of them knew that Tower was a personal pet. I know I am running on, but I am very upset. In the back of my mind, I really thought he would be back by now.

Since he is feral I don't need to tell you how independent they can be. Maybe he found himself another place to live? Maybe he is hiding?

I think you may have misunderstood Tower is an ex feral who Jil owns and has
lived inside with her although you may be right that he may have gone walkabout
this Is out of character for Tower
and YES you are exactly right 2dogmom Tcs vibes have a miraculous way of working their MAGIC

I guess I should have said "feral at heart"? I wonder sometimes if there is such a thing as an ex-feral. All I have is the one you see in my siggy and I think the great outdoors calls to him.

But anyway, let's focus on those TCS vibes!

Yes, Tower was more a family member than a feral when he left. He had a bed inside and slept most of his winter days inside. He got along with all of the other inside cats and he is very missed by his real brother. It was incredibly hard to keep him in...especially when it got nice out. He loved to sun himself. Of course it had to happen when I had no car and could not travel to any of the shelters but one. I had to call everyone and most of them were not too friendly or helpful.

In the meantime two more of the ferals that we take care of have disappeared. The last young one is gone along with an older male. I still have hopes to find these two and Tower, so please keep them all in your prayers.

I cannot explain to you how I feel with all of this taking place. I am so heartbroken. I feel like I let them all down. Maybe I hurt my own cat by caring for a colony....I knew that there were getting to be too many, that's why I posted for any help with the last four kittens...to see if anyone in the area could help socialize them and try to get them adopted. I feel partly responsible, because I had been playing with them and trying to get them used to people. Was I the cause that they trusted someone else and got caught?

The not knowing in all of this is killing me. How do so many cats disappear without a trace? I feel absolutely terrible...

Well...Some good news at last. While Tower remains missing, the other two (ferals) that I thought were missing have come home. The little one still limps a bit but she seems to be walking better. The other older one (We named him Double Stuff- He's like an oreo), is very quiet. I can't help but think how these cats must feel with half their family gone.

Funny thing about the LOST poster in front of our house- It disappeared two days ago. I have a suspicion that it was taken down, there were alot of staples in it... but I can't be sure. I don't think I am dealing with very nice people here...I don't care- I put it right back up!

Quick question about Tower- How far out do I put the missing posters? If they drove him somewhere , how am I ever going to reach whoever might find the cat? I am going to put another ad in the paper and hope that if he is found, they will read it. I am starting to think that he isn't going to be found...
