when you have to pull poop out of their butts!!! My poor Princess Frenchie she's been constitpated and I had been trying to find out what kind of canned food she likes so meanwhile she'll poop these really dry poops like every day or every few days. So yesterday I catch her in the litterbox (she has weird habit of watching my other cat Tara while she's in the litterbox, I mean she will be right in her face or by her rear end watching, does anyone else's cat do this?) and I see her poop a good long poop but then another one comes out but I guess she though it fell out cause she sniffs the first poop and turns around and covers it. Meanwhile the second poop which is a couple of inches long is still hanging from her, she was about to exit the litterbox so I caught her and shock her rear end (which was still in the litter box) and finally the second poop fell. Then when she gets out I see that the second poop broke off and now there is like another inch of poop hanging from her butt so I run and get a tissue and pull that poop out. And she's turning around looking at me like "What is wrong with you?" and I'm thinking what's wrong with you that you didn't feel that poop hanging out of your butt!!! Ofcourse my verbal response was "You had poop hanging from your butt and I had to wipe it, Sweetie!!"

Provided that there isn't a string or anything in it, I'm still not sure it's such a good idea to pull it out.

But I get what you mean, Sho has had a few messy poos and I've wiped his butt for him
He makes such an insulted face when I do it too, like he's thinking "How dare you?!".

The only good part about the story is that these were good sized poops and they were moist (but she was strainng when she first started pooping). I attributed this to finally finding canned food that see likes (California Natural and Chicken Soup) and she's been eating with gusto since I've been giving her the CN in particular. So I've decided to take her off dry period (despite the fact that I have about 6lbs of Wellness dry left and now only one cat left to eat it) even though feeding wet in the morning is a pain since she takes so long to eat and I can't leave it down because Tara will eat it all once I let her out.
