Hi,
My kitten is randomly peeing on things. If we leave a towel on the bathroom floor, she will pee on it. This morning, we had a paper bag, and she crawled in it and peed. These are the only things that i know of that she has peed on. We stoppped leaving towels on the floor so she wont pee on them.

Why would she be doign this?

Thanks,
Alison

Have her checked by the vet for UTI - how old? If she's NOT spayed yet, she could be in heat or coming into heat and marking things like a male would spray.

What kind of litter? What kind of pan? Is there any other cats in the house?

HI,
She is 8 months old. SHe is an indoor cat. We do have another cat. We also have 2 litter boxes. She is not fixed yet. She has peed in another bag as well so i dont know if it is a bag thing. The towels and bags seem to be it. Yes i do realize that i need to have her spayed.

At that age, it could easily be a form of marking. That would be my first guess. I would suggest do the spay soon, as it can become a "habit" that sticks around after the operation.

My second guess would be a urinary tract infection...she's young, but not too young for that.

I would take her to the vet and get her checked. I've had cats that young with bladder infections.

its pretty random that she does it. It has only happened a few times. I would think that if she had a UTI she would do it more often but i am no vet.

She has been in heat twice. about a month apart each time. The last time was the end of Feb.

My husband and i need to get her fixed soon. I definetley don't want to deal with her being in heat again. Highly annoying!!!
