So tonite a friend and I went for a walk, and low and behold this creature began following us!!

Hes soooo big!! I have been from door to door asking everyone where he might belong and so far noone has laid claim to him!! I know that hes been taken care of(obviously, lol) but these dogs are sooo darn expensive! I put up one flyer so far hoping that someone will be missing him. Hes a older dog you can tell. I guess if noone claims him I will keep him~he has no id or anything on either!! Im guessing he got out of somewhere but I just dunno why noone has been looking for the guy.

what a cutie pie!!!
can you take him to your vets office or local shelter sometime to have them do a quick (almost always free) scan to check for a microchip? perhaps he's been chipped? i hope you're able to find his owner and they take better care to keep him safe and sound next time!

My first question: Is he neutered?
I've found more spayed/neutered animal tend to be claimed rather than dumped.

I hope his owner does come forward....sorta!

NOOO hes not neutered!!
I bet anything hes been a breeding dog or something, or else he would of been fixed. I also know hes got to be some what older because hes got cataracts(sp?) I can see them on his poor eye balls.

Actually....cataracts are a "thing" in Bulldogs, I believe, if I'm thinking right. I've seen them in an 8 month Bulldog pup.

Open his mouth(if he'll let you) & look at his teeth. Is there quite a bit of tartar build-up? You can guess-time age a little by tartar on the teeth.

Hmm I didnt know that. I dont know much about english bulldogs though, lol. I know he stinks and farts alot!!
He does have some grayish colored hair around his face also that indicated he was older.....

My boy has been going gray since he was three

He also stinks and farts.
I'd go off of the shape his teeth are in.
His paw pads may give some indication as to how long he's been out roaming, though his nails look a bit long.

He is a cutie pie!

Try putting an add up on craigsist.org

Just put that you found a bull dog, give the general location and have the person tell you about him. Name any identifying marks things like that. Just so you know you are talking to the right person. I "kinda" hope you find the owner but he is cute and seems happy to be with you.

an ice cube in Iowa...
I would definitely have him checked for a microchip, but if he's not neutered, the possibility of him having a chip may be slim. He's a lovely bully...and to me, he doesn't look that old. Poor guy. At least he has somewhere to sleep tonight...and I do hope you keep him. He'll be a sweetie!

Looks like his name should be "Rocky", "Roscoe", or "Vinnie" to me!
