Tiddle's temp was down to 102.2 last night and this morning it was just 102.3. We are still force feeding her and got about 3/4 of a can of Hill's A/D down her yesterday. I giving her 20-25 cc's a feeding 4 times a day.

She only urinated 1 time yesterday, so I'm giving her at least 8 cc's of Pedalite with each feeding. She has not had a bowel movement and I think NOW she might be constipated!!!
Her tummy is pretty hard. I'm waiting for her Vet to call me back to let me know what to do about that.
ANY SUGGESTIONS??? I have hairball medicine, will that help? Her stomach x-ray showed a slight blockage of some type in her intestine...I was wondering it that could be a Hairball stuck in there? Has anyone had such a problem?

I'm just trying to figure out the reason she will not eat. I am so THRILLED
that her temp is down though!

Everyone here is so SUPPORTIVE! I'm am so happy I "found" all of you! Our Lord is Good!
Blessings,
Terri, Tiddle & Bootie Bob

Hi - Welcome to the board! I don't have any experience with this, but with having a temperature it could be that she just isn't feeling well and doesn't want to eat. As far as the hairball, I've never heard of one being stuck in the intestines, but I could be wrong. Maybe some others could offer some advice. I would monitor her bathroom habits pretty closely. Make sure she is getting enough water.

Thank you for your reply.

In my previous posts I have explained her condition. Fever, will not eat anything, getting VERY weak. Vet has ran all the blood tests and still finds nothing. She has been running the temp for 10 days and hasn't ate anything (whithout me force feeding her) for 10 days.

I am watching her like a hawk, she is probably becoming paranoid!

I am trying really hard to get enough water down her
, just don't know how much is "enough"

Again...Thank you!
Blessings,
Terri

That's really great news! I'd guess that maybe her appetite will start to pick up gradually over the next day or so now that her temp has normalized(??).....hopefully so! It's good that you're giving the Pedialyte......I'm thinking the a/d is pretty high in water content so as long as she's getting that, plus the little bit of pedialyte you can get down her, she's probably ok as far as hydration. If you're not already doing this, you could dilute the a/d a little bit with some warm water--it would increase her water intake, and make the a/d easier to get in and out of those syringes.

Not sure about the constipation but I think after several days of not eating very well, it may take her system a little bit of time to "get moving" again.......it's probably just slowed down some since she's not been eating as much. The water content in the a/d should help with that--I know from experience that too much a/d can give kitty the exact opposite intestinal problem------one that's not so fun to clean up
.

Did the vet seem too worried about the possible blockage in her intestine? I suppose it could be a hairball, but what did the vet think about that? Come to think of it, several years back, my Nala went days without eating, acted very sluggish and ran a low-grade fever--I took her in & we ran about $500 worth of blood work & various other tests trying to find out what was going on. On the way home from that appt she threw up an olympic-sized hairball in the car---she was fine after that. As much money as I spent on that hairball, I wanted to have it bronzed
!!

Your Tiddle will be in my prayers that she continues to improve--the fever coming down is definitely a step in the right direction!! She's a very beautiful cat, by the way
!
