We have 15 cats. Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ll PM you a link to both rabbit groups, one of which is having an active discussion on the issue of keeping other animals with rabbits today.

I used to have rabbits about 10 years ago, but no longer do for obvious reasons. Rabbits do not purr like our cats, but they grind their teeth and this does make a faint sound almost like a purr. My rabbit used to love having his ears rubbed. If I rubbed his ears, he would flatten himself out and would go into a trance

Both my rabbits are allowed to run loose with my cats and are respectful of each other, though it is a pretty controversial topic on the rabbit groups I belong to.
Before I ever had cats I had a bunny, and we would have an hour of quality time in the morning when she would snuggle up with me on the bed and grind her teeth so bad it hurt to hear it. The vet said that was her way of purring like a cat would. It was so cute.

Once, I started adding cats to the house I was worried about Bunny (unique name, I know). Well, she actually ruled the roost! I guess it was because I normally brought home kittens and they had a healthy respect for her from the beginning. They never tried to hurt her. Actually, once kitten I brought home that I found on the side of the road adopted Bunny as his surragate mother! Tigger followed Bunny around everywhere. It was so cute watching Bunny hop across the floor...and her comes Tigger (only 8 weeks old) trying to hop like Bunny and falling flat on his face! They would sleep together, groom each other...they were devoted to each other!

Unfortunately, I was living overseas and when I moved home I had to find homes for all of them. A co-worker took Bunny and is taking good care of her. I miss that little brat.

When i used to cuddle my bunny she would love it when i would scratch her ears, she would grind her teeth which sounded very similar to purring

these are some potential adopties (is that a word?) by me, I really like honey bun for some reason (he's down at the bottom). maybe he'll be a purring bunny
there is this other little bunny named chance at the shelter I will be moving by (he was saved from being snake food
, but they don't know the bunny's sex so it is probly not spayed or neutered either. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/...?petid=7825246
though they both look very small, if I do adopt a bunny, should I get one a bit larger (do to cats)?
I read about that trance thing to when you rub the ears & lay them on the back

Awww! Honeybun looks alot like my old bunny Princess.
She was a free roaming rabbit but only in the bird room. She was very gentle with the birds but not people...she only liked me and would chase my mom growling at her.
The cats got into the bird room where she stayed a couple times and she chased them growling and trying to beat them up so they hid. She was a good gaurd bunny.
