chloe & patch got boosters today. chloe got sick right after we got home; she vomitted numerous times so i toiok her back to the vet. he gave her a shot of atropine & said her gums were pink and said it was probably nerves - give only liquids, etc. she vomitted once or 2x after she came home and hid until 45 min ago. she came out for a bit then threw up 2 more times. however, she doesnt have nything left to vomit up. its just dry heaves. he said something about benadryl (12.5 mg) but is this ok since shes throwing up? has anyone experienced this?

THis reaction, in addition to twiches and spasms in her limbs, happened to my Ginger after her 2nd rabies shot. She was rushed back to the vets twice, first for subQfluids then for a Benedryl shot.
The benedryl did the trick. Ginger can never, EVER get another vaccination or booster shot again.
Please keep a close eye on your furbaby, and don't hesitate to bring her right back to the vet if you are concerned.

thanks! this was chloe's 3rd shot. shes doing better now, drinking a little water and snooping around. her back legs twitch when she tries to sit for very long, but i think she'll be ok.
one thing for sure, she wont be using that vet again
