5 Kittens

My son's cat Luna, black and white dsh had 5 healthy kittens yesterday. Two black n white, two back and one grey tabby. No idea what sex since mama won't let anyone close. When I visit during my upcoming vacation they will be 3 weeks old. Will I be able to handle or play with them at all or is that still too young? I'll be sure and take pictures while I'm there!

Congratulations!!! I added her to our "already delivered" thread. With my past litters, I've handled the kittens from day 1... so at 3 weeks old, handling them will be fine.

handling shouldnt be a problem, but just keep an eye on mamma to make sure she dosnt get stressed as i take it she doesnt see you to often??
if she looks like shes getting stressed then leave them alone , it may be ok for your son to touch , but not you.
if she does allow you , lots of pictures please lol

I agree handling should be fine as long as the mother isn't getting too distressed.

Congrats to Luna. I read about Luna in the premier forum and your vacation will be made so special with those little bundles of fur around. I think its ideal to be handling the kittens everyday from birth, if Luna is ok with that - just a few minutes each time per kitten. It really helped with socialising my kittens. So in 3 weeks time, you should be able to handle them too!

Although I wish it hadn't happened, I AM excited about it. I've never seen kittens that young so it will be a nice new experience for me. I will definitely take pictures!
