I know you don't know me, and you most likely won't see this. My heart goes out to you on this day of all days. I took Dr. Claw in for some blood tests and as I was reading my magazines you carried your faithful friend in. He looked old and tired, but he also gave your face a lick before you took him into the back room. You did the right thing by letting him cross the bridge today, and he is in a much better place because of you. Your grief was almost physical and you walked out the door, but just know that you did what you could.

Aw, prayers to the family.

Isn't it heartwrenching when you are invtied a little glimpse into someone elses family and you see the love they share, and you understand what they inevitably will be going through the new few days?

My only response is this:

I'm having a rough day - and my heart goes out to that family. Rest in peace, faithful friend.

It is going to be hard for them in the next few days... they had a teen age daughter that couldn't stop crying. My heart just went out to her.

Heather, this is so sweet of you...just the other day when we had Joey at the vet a woman and her son came out of the room clutching a blanket and crying I immediately burst unto tears, just feeling their intense pain

My thoughts and prayers are with this family you saw who lost their baby

It is always hard when we see others in pain, knowing full well what they are going through.

I hope they know that they did the right thing and that their faithful friend and companion is now as rest

Thoughts for that family today as they go through their grief - It does get easier eventually

I still get emotional just driving past the vet hospital where Nakita was put to sleep. I'd probably start
too if I had to see another family saying goodbye one last time to their furry companion.

On my, that is so sad.

I am the same, I always talk to people in the vets and sometimes wish I never did, as theres always a chance you'll come across someone who is bringing their cat in for that journey across the Bridge
I really dont know how the staff manage, they are such special, special people

Thoughts and prayers for a kittys journey to the Bridge

About 3 weeks ago, Don and I were at our vets office with Pebbles for an apt. A couple came in holding their very old cat and I new instantly why they were there. I heard my vet shuffling around in her office, and I went in and told her to take this apt. before ours as I could see the pain in their eye's and it was so very difficult for them sitting out there waiting... I was crying for them.... Little did I know at that time, that I would be there 3 weeks later putting my own Pebbles down....and I'm sure the people that were in the waiting room with us that morning must have been sad to see Don and I very upset and crying over the prospect of putting our beloved Pebbles down....

I am crying just reading about this, same as I do for every RB post.
Every time just makes me think about my girl.

My heart goes out to this family and I hope they can find some comfort in knowing they did the right thing.
