Good Luck! You will feel better once you beat the struggle! I quit smoking almost 2 years ago (2 years in july)! I had no choice smoking did me wrong! Stay strong, it's all mental after the first week or two!
Good for you and good luck, I quit myself almost ten years ago and it was the best thing I ever did. It's not easy but for each day you get throw it does get a bit easier. I will keep my fingers crossed for you
good luck Arlyn!! its been just a shade over 15 weeks for me, I quit cold turkey on Jan 1st and have not had one since then although I've wanted one, really really bad but trixie is right, its all mental after the first week, but boy is the mind a powerful thing just remember the carving will go away Be Strong!!!
I know how hard it is, but it does get easier in time. I quit for 5 months last year, then unfortunately started again in December when Alley died. I'm determined to give it another try again soon, and I'm thinking about quitting for my birthday in May.
Just remember, even if you slip up and have one, it doesn't mean you've failed. Just keep trying and take one day at a time. Definitely find something, anything, to keep busy.
Good luck! Quitting is hard, but you can do it! My dad quit cold turkey when I was born and he hasn't touched one since then! That's been 26 years! You will feel so much better once you've quit and think of all the money you'll save!
I've been cigarette/alcohol/drug free for just over 3 years (April 1 was the date). Quit cold turkey and never looked back. I'd quit before and been unsuccessful but one day I was just sick of it and quit everything. Took 6 months to feel like a non-smoker instead of a smoker depriving myself of cigarettes. I never thought I'd make a year. I almost caved about 4 months in, but never even took a puff. If you do go back, do not feel bad about it. I tried 3 or 4 serious attempts over the course of 2 years before I could quit. It's one hell of an addiction but it feels so good to know that you are bigger than all the tobacco corporations in the world.
Been cigarrette/drug/and alcohol free for 2 years this july! I have tried to have alcohol here and there (like 1 beer or a glass of wine) but it just isnt good for me! Congrats again and keep hanging in there!
