War, as in past and present? If so then I'm there. I just ordered a book from Barnes & Noble about the Punic Wars that took place between Rome and Carthage. The book not only goes into the battles and tactics but also talks about the politics regarding both of them. Should be pretty interesting.

wow i forgot what year i was there, it was before i married itta, hm 98 or 97
i had a long term chat friend from vietnam who had started medical school in
brisbane, so i went there to meet her.

lol i much perfer my yeast in beer , not as a left over from making it.
and its to salty for me. i am not a real fan of saltly foods.

Thanks! I was feeling a little peckish!

Also, you can use vegemite for seasoning in a lot of soups and casseroles etc. Yummmmmmmmm....!! I sent some to Sharky when she was my Secret Santa recipient a couple of years ago.

But best of all is vegemite on toast with lots of butter and a hot Milo. Ohhh that's good - makes me want winter to come NOW!

Milo oh man, i thought that was a just a indo, thail thing.
you talking about the powder drink thing? the ex used to mix that up and put on cereal.

Yup!

As much as possible in milk and then when you mix it, it goes all crusty on top and you can eat it with a spoon before you drink the milk. Ohhhhh I haven't done that in SO long! (Milo is very fattening!)

He sounds like a (much) larger version of Oz. Oz has yet to meet the person who didn't think he was absolutely wonderful. He doesn't have humans, owners or servants so much as he has worshipers. (And rightfully so, he'd say! )

Years ago my friend Russel used to come over just TO debate. He has moved since, but he was one of the few poeple I could argue with all evening and then hug goodnight. We would let each other talk - and sometimes raise our voices, but get our point across. Oh yeah - we LISTENED too.

having people over for laughter and support is far more important to me than debate and argumentative discussion. when i like someone alot but disagree about politics that becomes a taboo topic.

i think entertaining is about being thoughtful and hospitable not about making points. but they's have to leave their guns at the porch

Me too - my best friend and I never discuss politics, ever. It just makes us fight. I only have good rollicking debates with friends when we don't get emotionally invested.
