Please say a few extra prayers for Katy tomorrow. She's having a dental. Though I don't ever like the thought of any of my cats going under anesthesia, Katy has HCM so I'm really nervous about it . . . scared to death in fact!
Her HCM was first diagnosed a little over 2 years ago when I took her in for a dental. They canceled the dental then and worked up her heart condition. Since then, it's just been one thing after another, hyperT, IBD, pancreatitis, and I've kept putting the dental off. She has a tooth that has absolutely got to come out because it's nearly ready to break off, and if it would get infected that would only make things worse. So, I don't have a choice any longer. She's had a good work-up, heart, blood work, x-rays and UA, and the vets say she's in good shape. I'm praying they're right.
