From his writings and now this, the kid seemed very immature!!!

Ack - that picture of him pointing the gun at the camera gave me an idea what it is like to stare down the barrel of a gun. Gosh, it gave me the shivers and it is rather upsetting, as I keep seeing the victims in my head and their last moments.

This whole thing is just so sad. My heart just BREAKS for all the victims/survivors/families AND the family of the shooter. IMAGINE what his family must be going though!

Can anyone tell me what the shooter's final wish was? I cannot find a transcript of what he said in his video and I noticed some ppl here mentioned his final wish. Can anyone clarify that for me?

FYI- I was reading this article and it hit me real hard- I did not realize what it must be like for cops, EMTS, people who went through the buildings, counted bodies, collected and moved them.

http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/ande...oper.360/blog/

I know I cannot copy/paste what it said so pls scroll down halfway till you see "Cell phones of the dead still rang".

As I read that, I thought oh my.. HOW HORRIBLE! Can you imagine walking through the rooms, seeing all the dead bodies and hearing/feeling phones and PDAs ring/vibrate knowing they were trying to reach their loved ones and there's nothing that you can do??

he got his final wish, to be famous.
and now the media has been showing his videos over and over and over.
all that does is make more think, that a they are a few kills way from CNN.
I was wondering if they should have even showed it. It not only gave him his final wish, it caused more pain for the victim's families. Showing it once should have been enough. I can't help but think all of this media coverage will only encourage copycats.

These clips will be all over the internet then there will be specials on cable channels then of course, at least one movie and probably a book or two. He made history. It is just what he wanted.

I just saw this article on how the media is making the grieving and healing process harder on those affected by this tragedy. The worst part of is that because of all the members of the media taking up hotel rooms in the area, family members who want to be with the victims have to find other places to stay. It makes me sick:

I don't think it's a coincidence that the Columbine, Erfurt (2002), and VT school massacres all took place in April.

Not to mention Waco and Oklahoma City...

Waco Texas Massacre April 19th 1993
Oklahoma Bombing April 19th 1995
Columbine April 20th 1999
Virginia Tech Massacre April 16th 2007

Its not a coincidence. Some theorists say everything happens around 4/20 due to Hitler's birthday. Timothy McVeigh stated that he chose the day because of historical significance of April 19th. Lots of things happened on that day. The Columbine killers post poned their shooting but planned everything for the 19th originally but they weren't ready and did it the next day instead.

I know all federal buildings have extra security on those days....weird huh?

I had a feeling about today because of recent events, and it looks like my feeling was correct with reports coming in from NASA. When will it end?

Timothy McVeigh once said (correct me if I'm wrong) that the reason for the OKC bombing was the siege at Ruby Ridge and the Waco incident.
Yes. Timothy McVeigh was also known for his neo-Nazi ideals. Richard Snell (convicted murderer) was executed on the same day as the Oklahoma City bombing. It hasn't been proved that the two were connected, although both Snell and McVeigh belonged to the same radical organization and shared ideals. Some believe the bombing may have been a reaction to Snell's execution as well as the reasons you listed.

The Nazi attack on Warsaw was on April 19th 1943

There are many coincidences and theories.

This gives a lot of good information (facts vs. fiction and much speculation based on interviews) to Timothy McVeigh.
American Terrorist. It included everything up until the his execution. He was in the same wing as the Unibomber, who said that McVeigh was messed up.

Waco and OKC occurred on Patriots' Day. April 19th seems to bring out the worst in some Americans.

As for the gun law issue, this is from today's Tucson Citizen:

Spring in general... 4/20 (for people unfamiliar) is an underground holiday devoted to smoking pot, and then May Day in a small way is about chaos (in the way that Mardi Gras is)

It seems like these people plot and scheme through the winter. It's natural to the human condition. Everyone does things like this-- you plan your big trip for spring in the winter, people plan weddings through the winter for spring.

All I'm saying is that I don't think there's anything evil about spring. It's just that humans seem to hibernate too, just not literally.

Although the connections between Columbine and V tech and Oklahoma City and Waco were pretty much stated by the perpetrators.

That book is quite good, and makes you wonder about McVeigh's experiences as a sniper during Desert Storm, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Unlike many "true crime" books, it underlined how horrible such an event is for the perpetrator's family, too.
