Age gap in relationship?

My boyfriend is a year younger than I am. Personally I don't think that I'd date anyone more than 5 years apart from me. While I do believe that age is just a number, and a relationship with a large age gap can work. I just always think about growing old with the person. Obviously with that large of an age gap, your going to get left alone for quite some time, when the older partner passes. Sorry to be gruesome.

The main problem with being involved with older men, is one can be widowed, at a young age - I was 30.

DH is just 2 years older than me. My Mom is 7 years older than my step-dad. I've always believed it just depends on the couple, whether the gap is an issue or not. It's usually not an issue for the couple, but other people anyway.

No one ever thinks my Mother is 7 years older and people are always shocked to find out. Of course they (my parents) have this icky kind of thing about how she could have been his babysitter....

I'm 2-1/2 years older than my husband. But I have to say that he sometimes acts like he's 20 years younger. It's hard to keep up sometimes!!

No seriously I've never dated anyone more than a year or so younger or older. At least I think...my first girlfriend might have been a couple years older than me. I don't think there is anything wrong with it but I'm really only 25 so most of my life I've been around people my same age.

My husband is 17 years older than me.. and he's a big child, so it works out well!

My longest relationship was with a guy 4 years younger. Had other relationships with men 18 yrs and 21 years older than me. Others were somewhere around my age. Now at 42, the love of my life is only 11 years old - but 60 in human years!

I'm 26, my wife is 28.

My BF and myself are 3 years apart. I turned 26, 8th Jan this year and he turned 29, 19th Jan this year. it works really well for us. My parents are 8 years apart and still very happy together. I believe his parents are also around that many years apart. My sister is seeing someone who is 30 and she is 22, and doing allright but not great.

There's an 8 year difference for us - me being the younger of course. (And better lookin'!)

im 24 (25) in july , my SO is 34 (35) in june so 10 years between us. age is just a number. iv been with SO for nearly 10 years and were getting married this year on the day we first started going out. we also have 3 children together. the amount of people who said it would never last , his 2 old , i was with him coz i wanted to impress my friends ect ect.. well they was all wrong , as long as you both fell its right then it dont matter what anyone else says.

DH is 6 years younger then I am. He keeps me old. LOL! he's the fuddy duddy of our relationship. I like to go out and hear our friend's band play and he's rather sit at home playing DoD online. Other then that, I'm the stay at home boring one usually during the week.

Nate is 6 months younger than me, but he is the only man I've been in a relationship with who is younger than me, I always used to find myself with older (between 6 and 12 years older) than me.

My brother is 14 years older than his girlfriend which seems a lot but they are happy and seem very well suited in personality and intellect (according to my parents, I haven't met her yet!) so why not?

Age is just a number (as long as all parties are of legal age of course )

My experience varies from 4 years younger to 2 years older than me. Currently I have no official relationship, but definately some serious sizzle with a guy 4 years younger than me. Being 26 now, I suppose I could see myself with people between 21-36. For some reason men interested in me are almost always some years younger than me or middle-aged.
