Hello from a fat, black cat.

Hello everybody, my name's Lauren and I have an 11 year old DSH (I think) named Inky. I'm actually more of a dog person than a cat person, but my sister will be going away to college next year and I'll be taking care of Inky. He does have some issues, he's overweight and can be aggressive towards people and other cats, so I've also been searching the forum to see how to go about working on that. Other than that I'd just really like to expand my knowledge of cats in general because I don't know that much about them.

Mr. Inky (I woke him up for this, he was none too happy, lol)

My dogs-
Mollie (7 y.o. Poodle Mix and resident Diva):

Frodo (15 m.o. Pembroke Welsh Corgi):

Izzy (15 m.o. Pembroke Welsh Corgi):

I recognize a few people on here from a dog forum that I'm on as well

Lauren

Welcome to the forums! I confess a certain preference to black cats. Please no one tell my tabbies!

Funny, someone mentioned Friday the 13th. That's the name of my black cat! He does abnormal things daily, for the record.

Welcome to TheCatSite

and Inky is very handsome -- I hate to admit to playing favorites, but I do have a weakness for black male shorthairs, a legacy of almost sixteen years shared with my beloved King Sunny-a-Cat, an angel in ebony satin and the love of my life. We hope you'll find lots of good information on these forums, and that caring for Inky will soon make a confirmed cat person out of you!
