Prince William has split from Kate Middleton. How sad - there was talk of them getting engaged this year! I honestly thought she was going to be Queen one day when William gets the throne

The article refers to the pair being unable to cope with the intense public scrutiny of their relationship. Looks like the media not only got Diana, but its affecting William now too. Very sad.

The media pressure sucks. She was even pretty well prepared as she wasn't the naive thing that Diana was, but it still wore them down.

I agree that it's really sad they broke up. However, I also have to say that it's better that it happened now rather than after they were married and had kids.

i honestly believe it has something related to the newsflash from last week or so, where he was caught dancing and being a bit too friendly to another girl.

He's too young to get married anyway. She was his first serious girl friend. He has a lot to accomplish and do before he settles down into a stodgy marriage.
