DeeDee my 4 mo old female was spayed (spade?) yesterday and she was a bit uncomfortable when she came home as expected. Well as bad timing would go I received the cat tree I ordered off of ebay for them. Here it is:

She is being a lot more active jumping up onto the couch and onto furniture that I feel comfortable with so soon after surgery. Should I put the cat tree together and trust that she will be careful enough? If not, how long should I wait?

Thanks in advance

Since she will get the stitches out in 14 days, I'd postpone putting the tree together for about a week. Friend of mine had treehouses all over her house. The one female she brought home right after surgery, came out of the carrier and ran up to the top of one of them!

My friend was worried about her pulling stitches doing the, but the cat was fine. Personally, I'd keep her as calm as you can right after surgery. The treehouse can be her playground after stitches are out.
