"We are marching in memory of our pets that have lost their lives, we are marching in memory of those pets that are fighting for their lives, we march as pet owners, dog lovers, cat lovers and average citizens that are tired of the lowered safety standards for goods coming in to this country."

Check out their awesome site and get involved by marching and/or helping out!

California
SO I went and checked out the site. I noticed that San Diego was listed as a location but had no one to organize it. Are there any members from SD that would like to help me put a march together? I know a few people who sit on differant commitie boards for the city that will help me with permits and things but alot would need to be done to pull it together that fast. I think this is a great idea and we need to do our part in making it happen.

So any San Diego people that want to help me please PM me and let me know. I will be contacting the group tonight to find out exactly what needs to be done. I will also call my friends tomorrow morning to get the permit end of the ball rolling.

Thought I'd mention that there will also be marches in Canada - Kitchener & Ottawa.

Any Canucks on here, check out the site! If you live in/near one of the Canadian march locations, get involved! Contact the local organizer to help out or, if you/your group could hold a march in your city, contact pnv2

To organize a march: [email protected]

"The March is a direct response from people all over the country and Canada who felt an overwhelming need to speak in outrage over the lack of safety standards in regard to pet food and the corporate negligence in allowing the food to remain on the shelves prior to the recall...

We are simply giving a voice to sadness and pain, to frustration and outrage. People need that and our pets deserve that. Hopefully, that voice will result in better days for pets and owners alike."

"The long-range objective is a network of committed pet owners who will keep pressure on lawmakers and government agencies to make sure tainted ingredients never again make their way into the food supply."
