Email from Felidae - Canidae

I thought I would share this with everyone. I have sent an email to Canidae that also makes Felidae and here is the response. Also I spoke to them over the phone but it's always good to have things in writing. I think this will make people secure in feeding their food.

"Hi R.... - None of the CANIDAE products are made by or use ingredients from
MENU. All of our ingredients are grown in the USA and processed here also.
We use a processing plant in West Texas that is family owned and has been in
business for 75 years. We have our own equipment and our own building at
the plant so there is no possibility of mixing up our food with another.

Good info ... Now if they would eat it

My kittens love their food they didn't at first but now they finish everything I give them and ask for more. Maybe it takes time for them to switch. My dogs have no problems with this food started to eat it as soon as it was in their dishes the kittens were thinking about it for a day or two. I think cats are just more picky about their food and it takes time for them to transition to it.

Mine ate the chn and rice felidea can regularly but recently decided they dont want it

You got to love them. Mine will have to eat it whether they like it or not I am not going through pet food research again. I figured if they don't like it I will mix it up with their wet food and they will have to eat it.

Well, it’s just great to know that the company has no problem responding to people and confident in their product as well as taking right steps to make quality food.

Right now I am just overall leary of the pet food making in the US, hence the good thing the girls like raw ... but yes many companies are showing us how they are doing things which is great ..
