Love these two!!! For a while Dan thought the name Jersey was neat for a boy....I didnt want to tell him i didnt like it lol..even men can obsess over names.

I think having a list is normal...you want something you really enjoy and have thought about enough and have even "used" out loud...names can really mean a whole lot.
I like biblical male names and really femanin girls names.
Now...convince my mother Canaan is a good name and since im developing the baby in my womb, birthing it, and rasing it, My opinon counts more...

How do you pronounce Canaan? Is it more like CaYnaan? Or Canaan, like the Canon camera's? I was trying to figure it out the other day

I know the spelling totally mess with your head lol
We say it Ca-nin or Kay-nin....A good way to spell it is Canin or kanen...but we're using the biblical way. Funny thing we'll call him Kane for short
thats the only way to spell it i think.

I really like the name Canaan...It's really a nice name, but I'm a K sounding name and my husbands name is Kyle, so with one kid having a T name, I wouldn't use the hard K sound for any of my other children.

I don't think any names are "weird"..perhaps different or unique. Weird implies something not nice to me.

I think people are just being creative and using the many different phonological possibilities in their creativity.
