Tomorrow will be an absolutely marvelous day! Perfect weather, last day of the work week, what more could you ask for? And I sense that our members that have black cats are going to have the best day of all!

Its already Friday 13th here, and so far its not too bad. I am off to see Ghost Rider in a few minutes.
Might buy a lotto ticket and see my chances.

I'm not that superstitious about the day. Usually Friday the 13th is just another day for me.

Movin' on up!
Work has been crazy all week so I doubt that tomorrow will be any different.

Tomorrow night, I'm going on a first date with a new fella - at least HE'S going to have a good evening
(I won't say that he's going to "get lucky" - not on a FIRST DATE
).

Hmph! I am far too erudite a person ever to put stock in a primitive superstition!

However... I have been known to just coincidentally plan a nice quiet day at home on Friday the 13th, until "The DaVinci Code" came along. You may remember that the story behind the superstition was explained in that book: a pope decided that the Knights Templar had become too powerful, and he sent messengers all over Europe with orders for his minions to rise up and slaughter the Templars all on the same day, which of course became an infamous date: Friday, October 13th, in the year 1307.

Somehow, knowing it has such a straightforward origin makes it easier for me to ignore it... which I do... mostly.

When you believe in things
That you don't understand,
Then you suffer;
Superstition ain't the way.

- Stevie Wonder
