Working in a call center really sucks sometimes! My last call lasted over 30 min! It made me 20 min late getting off work...I was SO not happy! And the whole problem was the caller wanted his loan direct deposited....fine....but he put the wrong account number on the loan form so the bank returned the money and it was reissued as a check. And, somehow, in HIS mind this was MY fault!
I had to listen to him rant and rave for 30 minutes! Even when I told him it has been reissued, he still wasn't happy. Apparently, in HIS world, we should have called and verified his banking info before we sent the deposit. HELLO! He is an adult, correct? He has more money in his retirement account than I have invested in my house, so we would "assume" he would be smart enough to double check his info, or at least admit that he made a mistake! Then, he wanted to know exactly where his check was and the exact date he would receive it. I told him that was up to the post office. He didn't like that answer. I'm expecting a request to call him back tomorrow. I hate my job.
