I don't think I've ever posted any pictures of our other family members... our dogs.
First is Caleb, a.k.a. Thunder. He was one of 9 puppies found in a dumpster when they were just a few hours old. 8 of them survived, and I adopted my boy when he was 12 weeks old. He will be 5 years old in August and he is 100% my baby, he goes EVERYWHERE with me. I introduce him as my "son"
Next is Sammy. He will be 3 years old in July. He is a Jack Russell/Chihuahua/Phalene mix. When I worked for animal control, I rescued his mother, a purebred Phalene... she had been locked in a hot car and her owners were arrested. They didn't even know she was pregnant, even though she was in labor when we got to her! The puppies were born by c-section. When I moved out of my parents house last year, they begged me to leave Sammy with them... I just recently found out he was being locked in a cage 24/7 and I immediately went and got him back.
Next is Vega. She is a 1 year old German Shepherd/Doberman mix (we think). Her former owner just couldn't keep her anymore. And no those aren't just "puppy ears", those are permanent!!
And this is baby Scooter. He is about 4 months old now. His mom was a Beagle/Sheltie mix and the father was described to me as a medium sized Hound mix. I adopted him at 6 weeks old, he and his mom and siblings were being kept in an outdoor pen and we had below zero temps at that time. He isn't normally tied up like he is in the pic, I took that pic last night and had to tie him up to get a picture!! He is the most active, vocal dog I have ever known.
