Don't know who it is.

A few days ago, one of my cats threw up on the floor not long after a meal. I picked it up, threw it away, and was unsure of who it belonged to.

Well I went on a road trip on Sunday night and just got back home a few min ago. When I got home I found 3 bunches of toilet paper on my floor near the cat tree. I went to pick them up, thinking the cats had gotten into the bathroom again and found a brown substance under each piece. (My grandmother had obviously put the paper over it and just didn't pick it up.)

I'm pretty sure its not feces as they are using the litterbox and I've never had an issue of them going on the floor. I'm not sure who it is, but one of my cats has now thrown up twice within a week.

Should I take both of them to the vet and get them checked out? They are being fed Nutro dry food for Indoor cats. The only other food they get is occasional wet food (but not recently due to the recall) and the occasional treat.

What should I do?

Twice in one week, and perhaps two different cats, doesn't sound too alarming. Does either one have a fever, diarrhea, or lethargy? Are they both playing, eating, and using the litter box? Maybe you could call the vet if you're really concerned, or just observe them carefully over the next 24 hours, and go from there?

They are playing and eating just fine. No diarrea and no lethargy. Neither have been known to throw up though. They dont' have sensitive stomachs or anything. I haven't switched foods or anything like that.

Doesn't sound too alarming to me either, yet. With 8 kitties, I'm pretty much always in your situation as far as figuring out "whodunnit"
. I'd keep a close on your two for a day or two--if it happens again soon and you still don't know who did it and both seem fine otherwise..........you might consider separating them for a day to see if it happens again.

I agree with jcat.

Zoey and Saki will vomit occasionally and for what seems no apparent reason. If its more than once a day and/or more than twice a week, accompanied by other symptoms, that's when I decide to take them in. Vomiting can be so incredibly difficult to diagnose at the vets. Trust me, been there done that.
