I know that answer... unless you were waiting for her to answer...

A torbie is a tortiseshell/tabby mix, hence some of the patching has tabby markings, i.e. stripes. A straight tortie looks (to me) like someone took the colors of a calico in paint ans splattered her with it... smaller bits of color.

This cat looks like she has a little tabby in her, so she's a DSH torbie with white. I don't know of other specific coloring names or such for her... and i have to head to work now...

But what I want to know also is...what is the OTHER color definition can the cat have???

Considering the fact that none of the american registries have a thing called black tabbies???

Is it as simple as saying she is a Tricolor? If it is, I'm gonna shoot myself!!!

They can have orange/red tabbies, which a torbie would have because it's usually the orange that has the stripes... ssooooooo...

I'm not very knowledgeable about the registry details... I just love torties/torbies.

A torbie with white and a brown patched tabby with white is the same thing!

Why was I being so difficult??? It's because for some breeds of pedigree cats, you cannot use the term torbie! You have to break down the colors and markings!
