I've noticed Since Boo Boo Kitty passed away about a month or so ago, That Max has become very vocal. He doesn't seem unhappy, although I think he misses her. When I get home at night he follows me around and is pretty vocal and when I go into another room. And when I pull out his food dish...... holy moly! He talks up a storm until I put his food down. He is still very affectionate and does everything else like normal. Just very chatty! Any thoughts?

Side note..... I do sense he is a little lonely but I am going away in 2 weeks. When I come home, my forst priority will be to find a little buddy for him. It makes me sad to leave him here alone all day while I am working.

The most important thing is for you to talk to him. So you may seem crazy, but to who? No one else is there, so go nuts and talk, talk, talk to him! He probably is missing his buddy, this doesn't always mean a new one is the best thing, especially right away. He just needs to hear the encouragement and acknowledgment from you, the fact that it is ok to feel that way and he is not alone. Believe me it works, as long as you mean it!

Thanks! And you are so right! I don't care if they think I am crazy.
I talk to him constantly. I may become one of those "crazy cat ladies" but we just chatter away at each other. It's kind of funny really because I ask a question and he chimes in right on que! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something but like I said, other than the chattiness he is eating, playing, using the litterbox and snuggling like normal. So I am not going to worry too much! Thanks again!

I used to talk to Alley all the time and she would get right up in my face and talk back

I think getting a new buddy for him would be a great idea!
