I stepped on Maia's paw so bad, she actually was stuck under my shoe for a second
! She knew right away I didn't mean to, didn't even run off, but I think her paw is bothering her more then she would like to admit..........

I can't tell you how many times I accidentley step on both Gracie and Casey's paws and tails! Part of the problem is because my coordination isn't great, but do they have to decide that right in front of me is where they wanna stand?

Awww!

I've done that too and that cry they give is heart wrenching
She will forgive you if she hasn't already done so. Just give her lots of cuddles and love bugs

Zissou used to have a habit of sleeping in the doorway in the pitch dark, and I flat out stepped on her whole body. Hard enough to scare the crap out of both of us, I don't think she was really hurt though (I realized that the floor wasn't warm and furry before I really stepped). She was mad for days, but she's forgiven and forgotten.

Does anyone else's cat give out a scream that would wake the dead when they get tread on? Zissou sounds like a billion nails on a chalkboard if you so much as brush her tail with your foot.

They train us well, don't they?

I've tripped over and stepped on Sho dozens of times. The only time he lets out a really audible meow is when he's stepped on or Tomas is bitting on him too roughly.

Cats always get underfoot, it's a very good reason not to wear your shoes in the house.

Ya know, usually I am very aware at all times of where she is, but this time she was so quick! Ran into my leg as I was stepping down, and I think she knew as much as I was sorry that it was an accident, she didn't meow or take off! Just waited for me to finish saying I am sorry and love her beyond!

I trod on Radar TWICE on Saturday. The first time I was in the kitchen and he sneaked up behind me and laid down, all in absolute silence. I stepped back right onto his paw. He didn't make a sound, but I felt all his other paws scrabbling at my foot. He ran off and hid, I cried, I then lured him back and fed him loads of treats (bribing him to be friends again and assuage my guilt, what kind of person am I?
)

Just a few hours later he did the exact same thing and got trodden on again
You'd have thought he'd have learnt not to lie behind me, but I think really the only lesson he took from the earlier incident was that the pain was worth all the treats afterwards

ETA: I have to say though that the worst thing of that nature was when I was flat/cat-sitting someone else's cats and I trod on her cat's paw. OMG it screamed and scrabbled. Thankfully it was all just a bit of melodrama and the paw was fine and uninjured but I had visions for a minute or two of having to explain to her why her cat was in a cast
That was worse than shutting Sonic's foot in the door. I really am not co-ordinated enough to be trusted around animals.
