Aww... poor baby. Did she used to hide before? Usually when they hide like that they are not feeling well or in pain. Is she on any medication to help with the discomfort? She is eating and drinking so that is a good sign. Maybe some others on the board can offer some more advice. I don't have any experience with breaks. You may want to call the vet and mention her behavior to see if it is normal after something like this.

Yes, it could be pain and it could just be that she's not happy with that cast. It must be very confusing for her, to understand why that "thing" is on her leg. It must be very uncomfortable. Of course, it's not optional at this point, but that could be part of her problem.

I would try calling the place where you took her, and see about some medicine for the pain. It's worth a try.

You might try and check the top part, at the opening to the bandage...to make sure there aren't any sores/irritation from the rubbing. If there's been swelling that's come and gone, the bandage might not be fitting quite right.

i was concerned as to why they did not offer pain medicine when i asked about it they simply said that they were going to give her some
anytime i try to touch her arm she hisses and growls so i try not to i think she is in pain and confused like you said but with our financial situation as bad as it is at the moment i dont know what to do
she is in her litter box asleep as we speak

Could you make a little bed for her near the litter box? Maybe she is in it because it feels safe to her. If she had a warm bed nearby she may use it instead. I don't really have any answers
I would try calling the vet, maybe they can help with your questions.

Could she be overly warm or have a fever? Sleeping in the litterbox is often something I've noticed cats do to cool off. You could try to take her temperature to see if she has a fever. I'm not surprised that she is hissing and growling. Does she come out at all if you just sit quietly in the room (say, sit and read a book for a while)?

I can't offer advice, but I am praying for you. I am sure others who are more experienced and knowledgeable have things that will help. ***hugs***

Poor girl! I would definitely call the vet and ask them about pain medication. If she is hurting she would hide and growl. I know I wouldn't want anyone touching me if I had a broken leg!

when we took her back they couldnt take her temp she was not cooperating but they said its normal

i often go in the room to just read and she lays on the bed or in the closet kinda mopeing (sp?)

she is a lot better now cause the vet gave us meds now shes lucy in the sky with diamonds lol we renamed her sparky

we take her back on tuesday just to check the cast and sore are doing better and hopefully get the cone taken off her head finally (although im not sure if thats a good thing because i know she will continue to lick the wound
her favorite activity other than sleeping right now is tearing up boxes (we just moved and have lots of them and she likes to make confetti outta them
)
she hasnt slept in her litter box lately maybe because we moved it to the bathroom maybe cause she isnt in pain anymore i dunno but thank god for what ever reason it is
she is walking on her arm a little bit now too
i feel she is doin better this is week 2
