Hello!

I was just having a look around the site and came across the in my opinion bit. I like the discussions going on in there and thought that I might add my tuppence worth. Yet, I can't. Is that because I am quite new and I haven't earnt the right to be there yet or do you have to be a paid member to get on there? I was just wondering.
I would also like to say that I didn't notice the newbie bit so I didn't put anything on there so have been chatting away and asking questions. I didn't really know where to put this bit but, I just wanted to thank everyone here for having me and being so kind and very helpful. I am so pleased I found this site with so many nice people with big hearts that are so willing to support each other. Thank you from me and my little fur baby Al, whos has definately benefited from me coming on here!! From what he eats, to how and when he is groomed, his cat flu when I got him, neutering, playing, the list goes on and I only got him March 11th this year. I really appreciate it.

Actually, it's Adult Cat status you need. The definitions of the various User Groups are here.

To get full Adult Cat status you must have 100 posts and 30 days in membership
Then you get:
20 stored PMs
20 additional avatars to choose from
40 Kb in uploaded attachments
Posting access to IMO, if over 18.

Can I ask why you have to be over 18? I am under 18 but I feel like I could contribute. Is it an expected maturity/knowledge thing?

Basically, yes.

The IMO Rules are found in a sticky at the top of that forum. Here's the link. As you can see, when it was set up originally [post #1], there were no restrictions on who could post there, but a year's experience demonstrated a need [post #3].
