Just noticed that a lot of new folks have posted today! I'm new too, and so happy to have found this site! It's good to be among like-minded people, who all share the love of cats!
I'm a mommy to two kitties, they are my babies! Chloe is 2.5 and Anya is 1.5 years old. I've had cats before when I was younger, living my parents, but they were always outside kitties. Of course, that means that only one lived to be very old, my Tiggy, who was 12 when he died of cancer in 2000. Since then I moved out, got married, and have always wanted to get another cat! My husband, although allergic, finally caved and we got Chloe at about 9 weeks old in Nov. 2004. He's slowly adapted to her, and with regular medicine his allergies are tolerable. He loves Chloe and says that she's turned him into a cat person!
One year ago this month we got kitty #2, Anya. It was a tough adjustment for Chloe. The first few days she wouldn't eat, was throwing up and having horrible diahrrea, and just very unhappy. But now they are good friends, and after some major health issues with Anya, she's doing good and very happy and healthy too.
I'll try to add pictures of the girls soon. Chloe is a black and brown tabby but lots of people say she looks like a bengal, but as far as I know she's not. Anya is a Siamese mix with blue eyes, and chocolate ears. I do have some pictures here you can see: http://www.myspace.com/prophecygirl730
