Poor sweet Joey!!! I'm so glad he's home, he's better off resting at home where he'll be more comfortable.

Good luck with the IV - if I was at home with an IV I'd be annoyed with it as well!!!!!! Sending lots of good luck vibes to you both!

Have the other cats seen him yet? Is Sev pleased to have his buddy home or does he not like Joey's smell?

That's a great idea what Nikki said, and failing that you could always make him one from the cereal box like i had to with Rosie when she was spayed

I'm glad to hear Sev is being nice to his "brother"! Joey will be much happier at home in the company of Sev.

After bobber had her surgery-one of the vet tech suggested having her wear a baby onsie to keep from getting at her stitches (can't say I tried it though)---just a suggestion!

Joey is such a handsome tabby Helen.

I am praying that the source of his fever will be found and neutralized.
He truly is love.

Seriously though, don't they have some type of "tylenol" for cats....I know real tylenol/ibuprofin will kill a cat, but don't they have something that can reduce his fever?
I know that they have something like that for dogs, I have seen it at Wal-Mart

Just heard from the vet, this is what they have found so far

He has Microalbuninuria: She also mentioned the C word

Examples of these disease processes in cats include the following:

Inflammatory diseases (e.g., dental disease, cholangiohepatitis, immune-mediated diseases, inflammatory bowel disease)
Infectious diseases (e.g., FIV, FeLV, FIP, heartworm, ehrlichiosis)
Metabolic diseases (e.g., diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperthyroidism)
Neoplasia

Persistent microalbuminuria suggests the presence of either an underlying disease process causing early renal damage or lower urinary tract disease (LUTD). Detection of microalbuminuria during a routine health examination provides veterinarians with a new tool to discover many common canine and feline diseases that are subclinical.

Ok I have never heard of this. So do they know what type he has? What is the next step for treatment?

Well at the lab they are trying to grow something in a petrie dish from his urine
He has to go back in 3 weeks for a retest if he shows no signs of feeling bad before that and he's on an antibiotic. I just don't know what to think, first
Bella
now Joey

no time for worrying honey
take a deep breath- now your course of action is to see what you can do for little Joey- you could spend all day worrying/crying over the "what if's" and miss out on the time/love you do have now with little Joey- it sounds like he's in excellent care with the vets and they are doing all they can to accuratly diagnose him- MANY of those things you've listed are treatable Helen
That's the good news! So now ya'll just have to pin point the best course of action when all of his results get back and go from there. Concentrate on the positives and stay strong. What antibiotics did they put him on? (((The petrie dish is going to take a few weeks so they can grow, culture and sample everything and run several tests off of it- that's normal so don't let that worry you too much
)

He just got up , he slept by my feet all night...he has already eaten some dry food, he ate good yesterday, and he keeps kicking his leg out where the IV is, other than that he seems good right now. He's such a LOVER

Thank you for asking.

Thanks EVERYONE, We so appreciate your prayers, and we will fight this one out with Joey, we will do whatever he needs
