to TheCatSite and glad you found your way here! We're sorta homies, I guess -- I'm originally from LA, myself, and know the LBC pretty well. Smokey is beautiful -- how did her accident happen and how long has it been since she had it? She's a beauty. I love her siggy!

All nine of The Nine are rescued, indoor-only, spayed/neutered of course, and the lights of my life. They're all little nippers, too -- especially Sahra!

Enjoy the forums and look forward to seeing you both on here a lot!

I just wanted to thank everyone for there well wishes Smokey is doing a lot better on May 1st they do the check up xray and determine weahter or not to take the cast of I am confident they will
I will keep everyone posted on the situation

You KNOW we're holding good thoughts for Smokey and you! Do keep us posted, okay?

She is doing a lot better she is running around and jumping on stuff and we took the cone off her head so its easier for her to eat and drink on tuesday we take her to get another xray and hopefully they wont need to recast it hopefully it is healed
here are some new pictures of my lil mischieve as i like to call her
nearly a month later:

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW--she is so ADORABLE!!! A sink-and-cupboard cat -- like "my" Maryam, who now greets me in the morning from her vantage point in the sink, after munching on rose petals (and maybe dumping the vase in the process...!)
So glad she's making good progress and not having to put up with an e-collar anymore -- WHO LIKES THOSE???

i know i sure didnt like it i hated seeing her struggling to eat and drink it was horrible
but now she is drinking out of her bowl instead of the faucet atleast
she is making good progress starting to get back to her normal michevious self
she has always loved sinks

You DO know about Cats In Sinks, don't you? Smokey could (and SHOULD!) be an international kittystar on this site! (Be sure to allow lots of time when you visit http://www.catsinsinks.com -- just TRY to tear yourself away from viewing these cuties! And, as if that's not enough, go to their sister site, http://www.kittenwars.com and if you're like me, you won't be able to say "who is cuter than whom" because they are ALL too cute!) ^^

i wasnt aware of either of these sites but i just checked them out and they are adorable i also entered pictures of smokey on both of the sites

& welcome to the forum. I had a Smokey 16 yrs ago. He was a silver shaded persian like the Fancy Feast cat. Hope she goes ok when they take off her cast.

What a cutie she is!

we take her in for her xray and to get the cast off finally i will make sure to take lots of new pics of her with out the cast and i will let you all know how it went

I took her cone off for a minute to take a picture and she starts licking her wound right away darn her


still slightly miserable cause she has to wear that cone for a few days but its for her own good (you see her owie )
