H and I hardly ever argue--in fact, he doesn't say anything back if I snip at him. He's a saint...but a ditz when it comes to using common sense while painting, etc. He's been installing bi-fold doors in the 2 closets, and painting them and the moulding he installed today. Well, about 2 hours ago, he came downstairs, and told me he "Spilled a bit of paint on the (1-yr-old) carpet." A bit=20" circle. I didn't blow up then, but had just spent 3 frustrating hours fighting with the vacuum (all I wanted to do today is get my downstairs cleaning done, so I could relax tomorrow, and do some outdoor work before dinner). I felt kinda ready to blow while cleaning (cursing cat fur!)--what should've been an hour job took 3 because of the vaccum (now fixed). While he was out, I went upstairs to bring laundry down to down, and saw the "little" stain. I didn't even blow then! Good so far, huh? But then, I didn't realize that he didn't wipe up the running paint on the tarp, and I backed up onto it (I was going to wipe the big stain), and got more on the carpet, and my shoes
. Boy, was I letting him have it, at the top of my lungs--but only because he wasn't home! I got so mad, I took some of his bathroom stuff, and flung it in his shower (unbreakable stuff). When he came home, I marched past him, and went out on the stoop to cool off. I then yelled about the paint, and inquired how much of a line of credit he has on HIS Lowe's card, 'cause HE was going to buy ME some laminate flooring--which is what I wanted in the first place, due to the cats (I'm the one who pays for this stuff, yet he insisted we get carpet in 2 of the bedrooms, to my objections). I'm ticked off, also, because a cat has been pooping and peeing once a day in that room. I replaced most of the floors with laminate flooring last year, which is great if this happens. I only have tile or wood laminate, except for 2 of the bedrooms.

Then I came downstairs, and saw that the cats had knocked plants over on the nice, clean floor...they were smart enough to hide when they heard me yelling at H!
I also have had very little sleep all week, due to a neck injury.

I did apologize to him, and he hugged me (but still hasn't said anything...).

I just hope the neighbors couldn't hear me sc
reaming like a banshee earlier--our houses are close together...I feel so awful for losing my temper--I usually don't!

Thanks for letting me vent! I feel like a mean, nasty wife, right now!

Some days just don't go right and we just lose it. Around here about every 2-3 years, there is a "tornado" alert. Basically, it is time for hubby to take the cats and hide in the basement until I calm down. Fortunately, I have never said anything I regret, but I do regret the hostility.

So work it out with hubby on how things can be cleaned up. I've been there. Once in the basement, he started make a big dusty mess but didn't let me know so I could take the clean laundry upstairs. Instead, everything had to be redone.

Hope you feel better

Thank you. I just feel awful, losing my temper, and screaming like a nut (I don't think I would have done this to his face--I usually grumble little comments under my breath while he's in another room). I also think it's PMS time (though how one can tell the difference with me from one week to the next...
)

Hubby is such a loving, sweet man. I'mso lucky to have him!

My DH isn't the most romantic (he muted the TV when he proposed
) but I would never trade him in because I know he really loves me when he sticks around after those Banshee attacks.

It wasn't anything special because I can't remember. No touching moment, just mute, asked if I wanted to marry him and that was that.

Everyone looses it and blows up every now and then. I'm sure your lack of sleep was probably to blame. One can get pretty cranky id thier not getting enough sleep. I'm sure your hubby will forgvie you.

its never a good idea to yell at the free labor ,
As my wife found out, it ended up costing her about 8,000 dollars cause she went off one day about a web page for her business i was doing for her, and it did not look the way she wanted it to....

but we all have bad days sometimes
