Jaffacake - Nope I'm an amateur. Never gotten money for my photos. I've been practicing lots though for a few years. It's a great hobby.

StarryEyedTiGeR - thank you!

captiva - I completely agree

Duchess15 - bengals are a lot of fun but also a lot of work. Very active and powerful cats.

tjwharton24 - If you do get a digital DSLR (like my Nikon camera) be careful though with the lenses. The lenses matter more than the camera itself really. I get my sharpest photos with my 50mm f1.8 prime lens. It's fairly cheap for a lens and it's definately worth it.. and yeah I love the puffy bengal whisker pads. Gives them a unique look.

mooficat - They are all copyrighted anyway. Copyright happens automatically whenever you create something, you don't need to do anything special and yeah she's a very pretty cat. I feel very lucky to have such a good model and now she's 100% used to the camera after all the photos I've taken of her.

halfpint - thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

I spent a good part of this morning letting her jump around on my bed. Snapped photos while doing it.

1. Flattening her ears down just before pouncing

7. Time to sit pretty and look like a tigress

Dragging from my archives a collage I did of Nikita playing. She has so much energy. I just threw a toy on the old fireplace and she'd run after it and play with it there so I could easily take the photos. Just having to throw a new toy every now and then.

ooo I didn't know that - why do some photos on the net have a 'copyright' watermark on them ? The things is how do you know who's lifting your photos, I've seen photos of my brothers holiday snaps on a holiday web site and he's never heard of the site

Anyway, more great photo
just love your little angel, she is a very athletic kitty

the big watermarks and copyright markers on photos are basically just reminders to reinforce that yes this photo belongs to someone. Basically like trying to put a lock on your bike so it won't get stolen. However even without a lock it's still *yours* know what I mean?

..and yeah she's athletic, it can be hard work playing with her, especially since she's an only cat but it's well worth it

Do you have one of these Siggav:

http://www.petsmart.com/global/produ...cat+dancer&N=2

I was amazed at how much my crew LOVES this thing! I keep it in a drawer with the other toys, and now when I go in the spare bedroom the jump around the door. If they see it, they take off running and jumping in the livingroom waiting for the action to start. Its a really simple toy, but they loved the darned thing! Bonus: all you have to do is hold it and they do all the rest!

Thanks for the gorgeous pics of Nikita in action!

I don't actually, I've not been able to find that one or the original "da bird" toy here in the UK. I'm going to buy one off ebay because I really want to find those but I need to get a properly validated paypal address before that which I haven't gotten 'round to finishing yet.

Thanks for the tip though
I'm always on the lookout for new fun toys.

Wow, does she have enough mousies there? LOL!

Nikita is so gorgeous. Such a great color, and her fur is so healthy.

Thanks everyone for the comments
I'm still taking lots, I'll end up with a harddrive full of nothing but Nikita pictures but that's ok.

First of all here she's being Queen of Heights

She jumps up there from the chair you can see next to the door. I'm not sure if she could manage it straight from the ground. I think probably not.

Here she's a slumbering leopard

..and then just adorable

You can see her glitter in these. This one here I took just to try to show off the glitter as much as possible. It's hard to catch in photos because it's more about exactly how her fur glitters in the right light.

...aaand yet more photos

This one here is a better glitter picture I think

Boxed

Jump!

That one there's not the best when it comes to focus etc. but it's *hard* to get good action photos.
