I agree that more of the members need to talk with us!! As I mentioned in the chat, a headphone set with a mic attached is pretty inexpensive these days, I got mine for less than $20 and love it.

We had a lot of fun, so for those who missed it, we will be doing this again! Look for announcements soon!

I would have talked but with it being Easter, Matts family were all online and so some insane reason think that talking to family is more important than you guys, but I ordered a second USB phone last week so we will have one each so I am definitely up for chatting next time

It was fun and great to hear the voices of those that talked...for some reason my mic is not working and I did the test call a few days ago and it worked, tried it again a while ago and it wont work

I had the same trouble when I first started using Skype, and played around with the (Windows XP) microphone controls until I got it working. I don't remember what I did, but there are some instructions for adjusting the mike on the Skype site.

I hope a lot of people (with working headsets) can, too, Tracy. It'll get "old" fast if Gaye has to keep interviewing Anne and the same old mods.
Now that the ice has been broken, perhaps more people will be willing to talk.

How about some suggestions for discussion topics? I already mentioned the pet food recall and kitten season, and I think it was SillyJilly who brought up toys, which Fran (rapunzel47) talked about. Sleeping habits? Favorite places to be scritched? Why you like your vet(erinary hospital)?

I like talking personal ......... like the things we found out about you Tricia about you speaking mostly German in your home ...... I thought was really neat ....... about Anne and how she came to start TCS ......... maybe we can have a personal session once a month ..... so it wont be just about cats, but about the ones who love the cats too?

Thats a great idea, there isn't much that we don't know about each others kitties but the more personal stuff is always interesting to hear

Maybe a few minutes from each show can be reserved for "Get to know a member"?

That sounds good to me! Of course, "No comment" or "I have to think about that!" would have to be allowed. I'm still trying to come up with topics. What led you to TCS? How did you become a cat lover? (Sorry. I occasionally get stuck teaching English conversation classes, and insist on suggestions, so that the students can prepare a bit).

That's a good idea! Then some topics could be announced in advance, but going off on a tangent allowed? And really interesting topics could be stretched over a number of Skypecasts?
I liked having the live chat running parallel to the Skypecast, as it was possible to react to what people were typing (as the comments were positive, not negative).

I like that ,too ........ it allowed us "non talkers" to participate more.
