Give me a break. The noise from a 12 lane highway is MUCH louder than the screams could ever be. Go stand by a busy highway. I go to many amusement parks across this country. Even in the parking lot of the park, many times, you can't even hear the screams and noise from the rides, until you get maybe 300 feet from the park. With 12 lanes of highway in the middle, I doubt these homes are even near 300 feet from the park. I doubt that anyone could hear these sounds inside their homes either. I am sure maybe there is a slim chance they could hear the noise just a little, but it can't be that loud. So, with that I say, let people have fun and scream and the residents just need to deal with it. That is of course, if this park has been there before the residents. We have a similar situation near me. A park that has been in a rural area for over 100 years, is now getting some complaints from residents in a new development that was put in. I am sure they can hear a little noise from a wooden roller coaster in the back of the park, because this is in a semi rural area, no 12 lane highway in the middle. But, even when I am in the parking lot, most of the noise vanishes once I get a good distance out in the lot. However, this park has been there for over 100 years. The homes have been there maybe 6 years. So, the owners of the park have said, to bad and I agree.
Their pets would be bothered more my the sounds from the 12 lane highway. The noise from diesel truck engines would be much louder and more disturbing.
|You know, if people's cats and dogs were all of a sudden getting upset by this, too, and hadn't done for the 20 years before that, I think many posters here would be a lot more sympathetic|
